Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer (Satellites) to support satellite manufacturing teams. You will provide technical EHS expertise, develop safety programs, and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH and other agencies.

The role requires hands-on experience in environmental and occupational safety within a fast-paced environment and collaboration with test engineers and leadership to drive safety across facilities and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in the design, development and operational oversight of environmental, health and safety disciplines

Responsibilities

• Perform safety reviews of complex hazardous operations with test engineers and technician teams.
• Lead or assist in incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Develop and maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH and other applicable agencies.
• Collaborate with leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement safety policies.
• Implement safety programs including OSHA general industry and construction standards and related controls.
• Monitor employee exposure to physical and chemical hazards.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and safety systems to ensure compliance.
• Develop and maintain safety contingency plans and regulatory compliance.
