Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Environmental Engineer (Satellites) to join the EHS team and lead environmental compliance for satellite and dish manufacturing across multiple sites in CA and WA, including Sunnyvale, Redmond, Irvine and Palo Alto.

You will develop programs, perform audits, manage permits and regulatory reporting, and collaborate with engineering teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and executing environmental/regulatory compliance programs.
• Experience working multi-site operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in environmental engineering.
• California and Washington regulatory/environmental compliance experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining SWPPPs, SPCCs, and air emission permits.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve environmental compliance programs at SpaceX satellite manufacturing sites.
• Maintain compliance with California, Washington and federal regulations.
• Coordinate permitting and environmental testing with contractors.
• Provide guidance to management on new and proposed environmental laws/regulations.
• Assist EH&S team with site compliance and audits.
