Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking an Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Engineer in Johnson City, Tennessee for an onsite, full-time role. The role leads EHSS programs across facilities, drives ISO 14001/45001, and partners with plant leadership to strengthen safety and compliance.

You will manage budgets, conduct JHAs and risk assessments, and develop EHSS training while ensuring regulatory adherence. Compensation includes up to $93,000 base plus a 7.5% target bonus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing with a Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of manufacturing EHS experience without a degree.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC and environmental regulations.
• Experience implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to influence all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC and other regulations.
• Manage Workers' Compensation processes and injury reduction initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs and drive process improvements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the organization.

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment (with a Bachelor's Degree)
• 8+ years of manufacturing EHS experience (without a degree)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and environmental regulations
• Experience implementing or managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong leadership abilities with the confidence to influence all levels of the organization
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
