Job summary

Calgon Carbon | A Kuraray Company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer for the Columbus Plant in Columbus, OH. This role leads safety initiatives and ensures environmental compliance across site operations.

The successful candidate will develop and implement EHS programs, train staff, and drive continuous improvement. A bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years in Environmental Management are preferred, with regulatory experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental, Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of Environmental Management experience.
• Regulatory and permitting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety at the Columbus Plant and ensure day-to-day environmental compliance by plant personnel.
• Develop and implement safety programs including Process Hazard Analysis and Behavior-Based Safety.
• Provide leadership and tactical support to EHS programs at the site and ensure regulatory compliance.
