Job summary

Divergent is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer II to support and enhance environmental, health, and safety programs across our advanced manufacturing operations.

This role will partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, facilities, engineering, and operations teams to ensure compliance with applicable environmental and occupational safety regulations while helping drive a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety required.
• 2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or related environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, hazardous waste, air quality, and wastewater regulations.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with EHS compliance programs, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Support site environmental, health, and safety programs in regulatory compliance.
• Assist with hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, air permitting, and chemical compliance programs.
• Conduct EHS inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns; support root cause and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training (HAZCOM, PPE, LOTO, emergency response).
• Maintain EHS documentation, permits, and regulatory reports; support MOC processes.
