Job summary

Axcelis Technologies in Beverly is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer to support the EHS program at our semiconductor equipment manufacturing facility. You will work with the site EHS team to implement policies, review changes, and manage training records.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field or one year of relevant experience, excellent communication and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to manage documentation and incident

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Must have strong computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to use document control and case management software
• Bachelor's degree in EHS field preferred or minimum one year experience

Responsibilities

• Support ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 EHS Management System through management of selected program elements, documentation, auditing and corrective actions
• Review and revise EHS policies and procedures
• Review new activities, process changes, and experiments for EHS risks and implement mitigations
• Conduct/monitor daily, weekly, and monthly EHS inspections; propose improvements
• Develop site-specific training and manage online training curriculum via LMS; maintain training records
• Manage Hazard Communication Program including SDS management and chemical labeling
• Conduct EHS incident/near-miss investigations; determine root cause and corrective actions
• Conduct and document risk assessments for plant operations
• Qualify newly installed tools for Toxic Gas handling and testing
