Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer in Bastrop, TX to provide technical expertise and implement EHS programs. The role requires hands-on leadership in safety reviews, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has experience in both environmental and occupational safety, with the ability to collaborate across teams and support multiple programs, ensuring safety of personnel and operations at SpaceX site locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 1+ years in environmental, health and safety disciplines.
• Experience designing, developing and operating EHS programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed safety reviews of complex hazardous operations with test engineers and technicians.
• Lead or assist incident investigations including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH regulations and other agencies.
• Collaborate with leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies.
• Develop and maintain safety programs including OSHA general industry/construction standards, hazmat, confined space, fall protection, radiation safety.
