Job summary

Pentagon Technologies, Inc. in Mesa, AZ, is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to strengthen safety, health, and environmental performance across operations.

You will evaluate hazards, design engineered controls, and drive risk reduction while aligning with OSHA and EPA requirements. The role emphasizes proactive risk assessment, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement, partnering with operations, R&D, and maintenance to embed safe design concepts into projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of engineering controls and risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop technical solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; MS Office/SharePoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hazard analyses (PHA, FMEA, machine risk assessments).
• Design and implement engineering controls (ventilation, guarding, interlocks, ergonomic solutions).
• Review new equipment, process changes, and capital projects for safety and environmental impact.
• Develop and maintain safety documentation, specifications, and equipment standards.
• Lead root-cause investigations and recommend long-term engineering solutions (8D/RCCA).
• Analyze environmental and safety data to identify trends and drive system improvements.
