Job summary

Miller Milling Co. seeks an experienced EHS Director to lead safety and environmental programs across all facilities in the Eden Prairie area and beyond.

The role focuses on developing robust training, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance. Hybrid in-office with significant travel, a high-experienced leader will oversee audits, incident investigations, and risk management across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to influence operations and plant leadership through collaboration.
• Experience leading audits, investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective action programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
• Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS, and EHS reporting systems.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to travel approximately 40% throughout the facility network.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs across all facilities.
• Identify safety and environmental risks and implement corrective actions and share best practices.
• Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance across facilities and corporate standards.
• Conduct facility audits, inspections, and assessments for compliance.
• Partner with plant leadership to improve safety performance and accountability.
• Investigate incidents and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Monitor and report EHS metrics to leadership.
• Develop EHS training programs using LMS and other tools.
• Support Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Planning (RMP).
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering during projects and capital works.
• Serve as the corporate contact for safety and regulatory matters.
• Support workers' compensation and return-to-work initiatives with HR.
• Develop and mentor EHS teams and foster continuous improvement culture.
• Travel to manufacturing facilities to coach local leadership.
