Job summary

Black Box in Abilene, TX is seeking an EHS professional for a full-time role supporting our data center partnership with Frontage. You will develop and enforce safety policies, deliver training, and conduct inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.

The position also involves maintaining safety documentation, supporting investigations, and coordinating with teams to promote regulatory compliance and incident prevention across facilities.

Qualifications

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Design and deliver safety orientation and training programs.
• Conduct facility and job-site inspections to identify hazards and verify corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety records and documentation (audits, inspections, PTPs, JHAs, SDSs).
• Assist with accident and injury investigations and support legal/insurance records.
• Support preparation of materials for hearings and claims.
• Help identify preventive measures and ensure timely resolution of safety issues.

Job description

• * Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations, as well as Black Box’s Safety Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
• * Design, deliver, and oversee safety orientation and training programs to promote workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and employee awareness.
• * Conduct facility and job-site inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, recommend corrective actions, and verify timely resolution.
• * Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including safety audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
• * Assist with accident and injury investigations, document findings, identify preventive measures, and support the preparation of records and materials for legal proceedings, hearings, and insurance claims.
