Job summary

Aluminum Precision Products is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator to develop and maintain EHS processes, reduce risk, and implement management systems. The role involves safety trainings, incident investigations, and collaboration with vendors to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has an EHS background in heavy manufacturing, strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA standards, and proficient MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Background in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, ideally from heavy manufacturing.
• Familiar with general industry Cal/OSHA regulations including machine guarding, LOTO, confined space, respiratory protection, PPE, IH, elevated work space, NFPA 70E.
• Intermediate computer skills required; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, verbal and written; good interpersonal skills.
• Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities; capable of handling multiple projects.
• Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new hire safety orientation trainings.
• Assist with accident investigation and reporting.
• Coordinate with vendors for safety trainings and testing.
• Perform facility safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Improve EHS performance by mitigating risks and promoting safety.
• Maintain injury records and training schedules.
• Research and purchase safety PPE as needed.
• Participate in departmental meetings and prepare safety reports.
• Create safety graphs and PowerPoint presentations.
