Job summary

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to strengthen safety programs at LVCVA facilities in Las Vegas. You will support risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and training, coordinating with show management, contractors, and EACs to foster a proactive safety culture.

The role emphasizes incident investigations, data tracking with KPIs, and development of safety communications such as Safety Talks campaigns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety preferred.
• 5+ years of occupational health and safety or related experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local codes and regulations (OSHA, FEMA, DOT, NFPA, ANSI, ASTM).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Ability to read/write/interpret safety documents and present to groups.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Familiarity with AI tools to assist routine tasks; proficient with computers and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on risk, hazard elimination, and compliance to Ambassadors and department leaders.
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with show management, contractors, and EACs to implement safety measures.
• Facilitate EH&S training for Ambassadors.
• Create media for Safety Talks campaigns.
