Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to help design and implement comprehensive EH&S programs. The role focuses on improving safety procedures and coordinating with partners and show management to maintain compliance across LVCVA facilities.
The position also involves leading safety training, conducting risk assessments and inspections, and developing KPI-driven safety reports for leadership.
The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator assists in creating and implementing environmental health and safety programs. This position will focus on improving department safety procedures, coordinating environmental health and safety efforts with LVCVA partners and show moves, participating in safety committees, and ensuring environmental health and safety compliance at LVCVA facilities.
This position is expected to work closely with LVCVA Ambassadors, LVCVA leadership team, Convention Services, business partners, show management, contractors, and EAC's to ensure safety and foster a positive safety culture. This person will serve as an information resource for Authority staff, Convention Services, our business partners, contractors, and show management.

All Ambassadors are expected to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of safe work practices and to comply with established rules, policies, procedures, and regulations. In addition, all Ambassadors are responsible for eliminating and reporting hazards and incidents. The individual must have the mobility to work in large public spaces and in a typical office setting use standard office equipment, including a computer. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, bend/stoop, walk/run, stand, and climb, work from elevated locations. Operate equipment such as vales and pumps. Drive a motor vehicle. Work in varying weather conditions.
