Job summary

Novelis Ashville is seeking an EHS Coordinator to support our environmental, health, and safety programs. You will conduct investigations, report concerns, and recommend corrective actions working with plant leadership and regulators.

You will compile reports, maintain permits, deliver training, and monitor regulatory changes to ensure safe, compliant operations and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field (or an associate degree with EHS experience).
• Ability to pursue health, safety, or environmental certifications if not currently certified.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and teamwork.
• Proficient with Word and Excel and able to organize records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare EHS reports for local, state, and federal agencies.
• Maintain environmental permits and operating records.
• Develop and deliver EHS training to plant employees.
• Monitor regulatory initiatives and communicate updates to management.
• Audit systems for regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to improve environmental compliance and waste reduction.
• Escort inspectors and respond to inspection inquiries.
• Assist with EHS incident investigations and wastewater reporting.
