Job summary

GLOCK, Inc. USA in Smyrna, GA seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator to lead the EHS program, ensure OSHA, EPA, NFPA compliance, and coordinate audits across facilities.

The role includes safety inspections, incident investigations, training, and emergency drills to protect workers and the environment. This full-time position requires a two-year degree with OSHA/EPA knowledge, certifications, and hands-on experience in RCRA, SPCC, SWPPP, and ISO 14001/45001; travel as needed; and

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree or related experience stated.
• Knowledge of OSHA Standards 1910 & 1926 Series and EPA 40CFR is required.
• Experience with Environmental programs including RCRA, UST, ABG, SPCC, SWPPP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Valid Driver’s License and related certifications (CSP/ASP; forklift and aerial lift trainer/instructor).

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause investigations of OSHA recordable injuries and near misses.
• Investigate and resolve employee health and safety concerns.
• Conduct monthly Safety Committee Meetings with EHS Manager.
• Responsible for daily RCRA operations, HAZCOM and HAZWOPER operations.
• Conduct environmental audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Audit SPCC & SWPPP operations to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Inspect ABG and UST storage tanks for EPA compliance.
• Ensure hazardous material areas are placarded per GHS standards.
• Perform daily safety inspections of buildings and document findings.
• Report significant facility walk-through findings to the EHS Manager.
• Coordinate ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 training and audits.
• Provide safety training including Hot Work, Lockout/Tagout, forklift, etc.
• Coordinate defensive driving training for company drivers.
• Coordinate emergency drills (evacuation, medical, severe weather, active shooter).
• Coordinate and perform audiometric, air quality, respirator and medical evaluations.
• Inspect emergency equipment (extinguishers, PPE, lighting, AEDs, sprinklers).
• Maintain safety signage across sites.
• Conduct forklift and aerial lift certification training per OSHA.
• Stock first aid and trauma kits at all locations.
• Collaborate with OSHA/EPA vendors to ensure compliance.
• Develop cost-saving measures within budget.
• Travel occasionally for compliance and audits.
• Support industrial hygiene testing analyses.
