Job summary

Symrise is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator to support and maintain EHS policies at the designated site, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The role involves regulatory research, audits, reports, and leading special projects, reporting to the Regional EHS Manager.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in manufacturing, with familiarity in wastewater regulatory reporting and KPI management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with environmental regulatory reporting (Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit, SARA 312 Tier II, SPCC and SWPPP) is beneficial.
  • Experience in tracking, analyzing, and reporting environmental data.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Certifications & Licenses preferred: CSP, OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains all applicable procedures, processes, and programs relating to EHS within compliance with local, state and federal statutes.
  • Assists with record keeping, presentation, and evaluation of department KPIs.
  • Provides EHS training and orientation to new and existing employees.
  • Maintains EHS programs aligning with regulatory requirements.
  • Performs internal EHS compliance audits and implements corrective actions.
