The key duties:
Develop and manage safety and environmental policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct audits, inspections, and accident investigations; recommend corrective actions to improve workplace safety.
Plan, deliver, and oversee employee safety training programs and promote safety engagement through communication and recognition.
Administer and monitor workers' compensation programs and coordinate claims with third-party administrators.
Interface with regulatory agencies, complete required reports and permits, and ensure continued compliance across all operations.
Profile
The succesful candidate:
Holds a bachelor's degree in safety or a related field, with 1-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Possesses strong knowledge of safety regulations and principles, with hands-on experience in compliance and safety program management.
Demonstrates excellent communication and teaching skills, capable of engaging employees at all organizational levels.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to fostering a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
