Job description

Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has performed on-site precision chemical cleaning in every State of the Union as well as several projects in Asia, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico.

We are looking for an experienced EHS&R Manager to join our EHS&R team. As our EHS&R Manager, you’ll lead and innovate Astro Pak’s Environmental, Health & Safety programs across our facilities and field service operations. You'll drive compliance, improve safety culture, and reduce risks—while empowering teams with behavior-based programs that keep people safe.

The EHS&R Manager will report to our Vice President of EHSR & Field Quality & will work remotely with up to 50% travel. As it supports our East Coast Operations, this role will be required to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead EHS risk mitigation and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory bodies
  • Develop and implement safety policies, site audits, and training that align with business operations
  • Investigate incidents, lead root cause analysis, and guide corrective actions
  • Manage environmental permits and hazardous waste programs
  • Partner with HR, Field Quality, and Ops teams to manage Worker’s Comp, return-to-work programs, and training
  • Monitor and enhance EHRS performance using company-wide KPIs, reports, and communication tools
  • Promote and model Astro Pak’s core values and safety-first culture at all levels of the company
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws and applicable regulations.
Who Are You:
  • 5–7 years of progressive EHS experience (multi-site operations preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in regulated industries such as chemical, construction, or pharmaceutical
  • Strong working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT compliance standards
  • Proven ability to build and implement impactful EHS programs and audits
  • Excellent communicator and team leader who can influence at all levels
  • Highly skilled in root cause investigation, training facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Suite skills; CRM experience a plus
  • Willing and able to travel up to 50%; valid driver’s license required
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, Engineering, or a related field (master’s preferred)
  • CSP certification preferred; OSHA 501, HAZWOPER, Confined Space, and Forklift certifications highly desirable
  • Internal Auditor certifications (AS9100, ISO 9001) a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Salary and Benefits:

  • The pay for this position has a base salary of $90,000-$100,000. The actual pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
