Job summary

Ftc USA is seeking a safety professional to implement and manage the company’s safety and workers’ compensation programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA and all applicable regulations in California. You will analyze work environments, design policies and training, maintain safety records, coordinate workers’ compensation management, and lead the Safety Committee in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes work environments and designs programs to control, eliminate and prevent disease and injury by conducting safety inspections and hazard assessments.
• Develops safety policies, training programs and materials, tracks training requirements and certifications.
• Prepares and maintains all safety records including training, accident and near-miss investigations, OSHA logs, permits, checklists, safety audits and walk-through reports and other documentation and acts as liaison with government agencies.
• Responsible for coordinating the medical management of Workers Compensation cases, acquiring return-to-work documentation and coordinating modified duty strategies.
• Manages distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conducts periodic fire and emergency evacuation drills.
• Chairs the Safety Committee and conducts monthly meetings.
• Conducts new-hire employee safety orientation.
• Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Additional Duties, as assigned.

Job description
