Job summary

Bolsan is seeking a Safety & Workers' Compensation Coordinator to implement and manage safety programs in compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and local, state, and federal regulations. The role involves analyzing work environments, developing policies, maintaining records, coordinating medical management of workers' compensation cases, and leading the Safety Committee.

The candidate will also oversee PPE distribution, fire drills, new-hire safety orientations, and liaison with government agencies.

Qualifications

• Duties include designing safety programs and conducting inspections.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and Cal/OSHA where applicable.
• Experience coordinating workers' compensation and return-to-work processes.

Responsibilities

• Develops safety policies, training programs, and materials, tracking training requirements and certifications.
• Maintains safety records (training, incidents, OSHA logs, permits, audits) and liaises with government agencies.
• Coordinates medical management of Workers Compensation cases, return-to-work documentation, and modified duty strategies.
• Manages PPE distribution and conducts fire and emergency evacuation drills.
• Chairs Safety Committee and conducts monthly meetings; conducts new-hire safety orientation.

Job description

To implementation and management of the Company’s safety and workers compensation programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA and all applicable local, state and federal regulatory requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyzes work environments and designs programs to control, eliminate and prevent disease and injury by conducting safety inspections and hazard assessments.
• Develops safety policies, training programs and materials, tracks training requirements and certifications.
• Prepares and maintains all safety records including training, accident and near-miss investigations, OSHA logs, permits, checklists, safety audits and walk-through reports and other documentation and acts as liaison with government agencies.
• Responsible for coordinating the medical management of Workers Compensation cases, acquiring return-to-work documentation and coordinating modified duty strategies.
• Manages distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Conducts periodic fire and emergency evacuation drills.
• Chairs the Safety Committee and conducts monthly meetings.
• Conducts new-hire employee safety orientation.
• Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Additional Duties, as assigned.
