Job summary

KYOCERA AVX Greenville LLC is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to ensure regulatory compliance across the manufacturing site and to manage the document control system supporting ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.

The role emphasizes leading safety and environmental teams, implementing action plans, and maintaining current knowledge of evolving regulations. Strong communication and auditing experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BS Degree with at least 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing setting.
• RCRA, DOT, OSHA training preferred.
• Ability to prioritize, manage time, multi-task and troubleshoot.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and EHS internal auditing.
• Ensure site compliance with state, local and federal EHS regulations.
• Lead and participate on site safety/environmental teams.
• Lead efforts to create and sustain a safe, healthy working environment.
• Stay current in changing environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Manage key EHS projects and programs.
• Follow up on site incidents and ensure action items are completed.
