You will gain hands‑on experience in audits, hazard identification, corrective actions, and EHS program development while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Ability to travel monthly to Franklin, MA is required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Eligible for a Spring 2027 co-op term (Jan–June) with 40 hours/week.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis; no sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
• Identify hazards and non‑compliance issues.
• Develop and track corrective action plans.
• Monitor compliance with environmental regulations (hazardous waste, air emissions, wastewater).
• Support environmental sustainability initiatives and programs.
• Prepare regulatory reports (OSHA logs, environmental reports, audits).
• Develop and implement EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in risk assessments, ergonomics studies, and emergency planning.
• Provide general administrative support to the EHS team.
• Travel to Franklin, MA site once per month for on‑site projects.

Job Title: EHS Co-Op

The Role: Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking an EHS Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. The EHS Co‑Op will assist the Environmental Health and Safety team in ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations at one of our manufacturing plants in Massachusetts. This role provides hands‑on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment and is ideal for students pursuing a career in EHS.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
• Assist in identifying potential hazards and non‑compliance issues
• Support the development of corrective action plans and track the implementation of corrective actions
• Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, including hazardous waste management, air emissions, and wastewater
• Support environmental sustainability initiatives and programs
• Assist in the preparation of required regulatory reports, including OSHA logs, environmental reports, and safety audits
• Assist in the development and implementation of EHS programs, policies, and procedures
• Participate in various EHS projects, including risk assessments, ergonomics studies, and emergency response planning

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Eligibility: Must be a currently enrolled student. Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June. Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co‑op program. Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co‑ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1‑B lottery.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to walk through manufacturing and labs areas, climb stairs, wear required PPE and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to perform site inspections, conduct observations in operational areas, and work in both office and industrial environments.
