Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Associate for the 2nd shift (4:00pm–12:00am) onsite at a client site in the greater Raleigh area.

The role supports hazardous waste and regulated medical waste programs, conducts safety inspections, trains staff, and helps implement safety systems and policies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1+ years of EHS experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Engineering).
• 1+ years’ experience in an EHS capacity.
• Detail orientation and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must be able to report to the Raleigh office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts.
• Willingness to participate in background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Support hazardous waste and regulated medical waste programs including waste handling and shipments.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and evaluate PPE usage.
• Participate in safety inspections of machinery and equipment.
• Identify and measure hazards and help implement control measures.
• Assist investigations of accidents and injuries and recommend remedial action.
• Write reports and complete required OSHA recordkeeping forms.
• Communicate safety issues to client personnel and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct routine EHS trainings (new employee orientation, hazard communication, PPE).
• Assist in developing environmental and occupational health and safety policies and manuals.
• Rotating on-call responsibilities as part of Emergency Response team.
