Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental invites applications for an Environmental Health & Safety Associate on the 2nd shift (4:00pm–12:00am) at a client site in the greater Raleigh area. The role supports hazardous waste and regulated medical waste programs, safety inspections, and incident investigations to protect workers and the environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field and at least 1 year of EHS experience, with a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related scientific field.
• 1+ years’ experience in an EHS capacity.
• Detail orientation and problem-solving ability.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of the hazardous waste and regulated medical waste programs including waste handling, preparation of waste shipments, material movement, inspections, and record keeping.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and evaluate PPE usage according to regulations while engaging workers.
• Participate in safety inspections and examinations of machinery and equipment such as lifting devices and guards.
• Identify and measure hazards and help implement control measures, updating SOPs (e.g., ventilation adjustments).
• Assist in accident investigations and recommend remedial actions.
• Write reports and complete OSHA recordkeeping forms as required.
• Communicate safety issues with client personnel and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct routine EHS trainings such as new employee orientation and hazard communication.
• Assist in developing environmental and occupational health and safety policies and manuals.
• Rotating on‑call responsibilities as part of Emergency Response.
