Job summary

Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions is seeking an EHS Assistant Manager for an automotive components supplier on the east side of Indianapolis, IN. You will lead safety and health activities, implement OSHA/EPA regulations, and maintain compliance reports.

The role emphasizes hazard recognition, risk analysis of tasks, ISO 14001 experience, and supervising a small EHS team. Full-time with strong benefits and opportunities to improve industrial safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ equivalent experience in safety/health.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, Local safety regulations (preferred).
• ISO 14001 experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a multi‑cultural environment.
• Lift up to 30 pounds and perform site tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Risk analysis on job tasks.
• Maintain and apply OSHA & EPA regulations; maintain compliance reports.
• Ensure PPE needs and resources are available for the team.
• Facilitate safety training for new hires; conduct annual training.
• Supervise one EHS team member (hiring, training, delegating, tracking performance).
