Job summary

Boston University, through the GSDM, seeks a Training Specialist to design and deliver training on EHR and clinical systems for new staff, faculty, students and residents. The role includes creating training materials, manuals and online modules, and coordinating orientations.

You will track progress, provide follow-up training, report on outcomes, and serve as a superuser and point of contact for clinical systems. A Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of relevant experience are required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement training for EHR and clinical systems for new staff, faculty, students and residents.
  • Create training manuals, handouts, classroom material and online training.
  • Track trainee progress and provide follow-up training as needed.
  • Deliver progress reports to the direct supervisor to identify gaps and ensure success.
  • Serve as a superuser and main contact for GSDM systems and EHR workstreams.
  • Lead and assist in the implementation of new data systems for the clinical team.
  • Support other training initiatives as directed by the Office of Clinical Affairs, including platforms like PowerBI, SPS and SAP.
