Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of people leadership or application management experience in a healthcare setting.
• Meaningful experience supporting and leading an EHR or major clinical application environment within a healthcare organization.
• Ability to operate as both a strategic application leader and a hands-on manager within a small team.
• Experience managing EHR vendors, upgrades, optimization initiatives, testing, system support, and cross-functional clinical technology initiatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for EHR and clinical applications environment, including oversight and development of two Clinical Informaticists.
• Lead post-live EHR optimization efforts, including workflow assessment, system enhancements, issue resolution, testing, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as the primary relationship owner with Netsmart, managing vendor communication, escalations, product discussions, upgrades, support issues, and future system enhancements.

Job description

• Hospital system is seeking an experienced EHR Systems Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for its clinical applications environment. This individual will lead a small team supporting hospital system's EHR and related clinical systems while serving as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and Netsmart.
• Client was an early adopter of Netsmart’s MyUnity platform and is now focused on post-implementation optimization, workflow improvement, governance, and continued maturation of its EHR environment. The EHR Systems Manager will help establish the strategic direction for clinical applications while remaining hands‑on enough to work alongside the team on system issues, projects, testing, and optimization initiatives.
• This role supports technology used across their hospice, palliative care, grief support, and related clinical services. Prior Netsmart experience is not required; however, candidates must have meaningful EHR application leadership experience within a healthcare environment.

Position Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct people leadership or application management experience is required, with demonstrated responsibility for developing staff, setting priorities, and managing an application or clinical systems team.
• Meaningful experience supporting and leading an EHR or other major clinical application environment within a healthcare organization is required; Netsmart/MyUnity experience is not required.
• Proven ability to operate as both a strategic application leader and a hands‑on manager within a small team environment is required.
• Experience managing EHR vendors, application upgrades, optimization initiatives, testing, system support, and cross‑functional clinical technology initiatives is strongly preferred.
