Job summary

Weiser Memorial Hospital in Idaho is seeking an EHR Technician to join our team. The role supports the organization’s Electronic Health Record system, acting as a liaison between clinical operations and IT to ensure workflow efficiency, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care.

The position reports directly to the IT Manager and offers opportunities for professional development within a valued community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in IT/Health IT.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting an EHR in a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Triages end-user issues and escalates to the EHR Program Manager when needed.
• Understands EHR policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Maintains knowledge of client and related software applications.
• Provides on-demand support for issue escalation and diagnosis.
• Documents knowledge transfer to ensure continuity of operations.
• Maintains issue resolution logs and trend analyses.
• Complies with HIPAA and privacy/security training requirements.
