Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking an Electronic Health Records Specialist to support, maintain, and optimize our EHR system across multiple states. The role collaborates with clinical, quality, compliance, and IT teams to ensure accurate documentation and efficient workflows.

The position requires 2–4 years of EHR experience, knowledge of Therap, and a strong focus on data integrity and regulatory compliance. Hybrid work with in-office presence several days a week is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health information management, healthcare administration, information systems, human services, nursing, social work, or a related field preferred; High School degree required.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience with an Electronic Health Record system.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or ID/DD services strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state operations preferred.
• Experience with system administration, workflow design, training, or implementation support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary support resource for the organization’s EHR platform (Therap), troubleshooting user issues and escalating technical concerns as needed.
• Support day-to-day administration and maintenance of the EHR system, including user setup, roles and security access, configuration, and monitoring.
• Partner with leaders across programs to improve EHR use and documentation processes.
• Assist in designing, testing, implementing, and communicating EHR enhancements, forms, templates, workflows.
• Ensure documentation processes and EHR workflows align with standards, payer requirements, licensing, and state regulations.
• Support data integrity by identifying inconsistencies and assisting with audits and corrections.
• Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
• Deliver training and ongoing support to staff on EHR functionality and workflow changes.
• Assist with testing new functionality, patches, interfaces, and releases before implementation.
• Monitor recurring issues and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and adoption.
• Support reporting by helping users access EHR data and identify documentation gaps.
• Participate in cross-functional projects related to EHR optimization and compliance readiness.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of HIPAA-protected data.
• Chair the Therap Super Admin Committee
• Perform other related duties as assigned
