Job summary

Aptive is seeking a dynamic Consulting Project Manager to support EHR modernization efforts under a VA contract. The role focuses on delivering end-user training and materials, coordinating THP activities, and maintaining executive-ready deliverables for senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of consulting experience, PMP and SAFe credentials, and strong PowerPoint/Excel skills. Preference for DC metro involvement and federal familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of consulting experience, preferably with federal clients or large-scale process implementation.
• PMP certification required or PMI eligibility.
• SAFe Agile certification preferred (e.g., SAFe Agilist, Scrum Master, PO/PM, RTE, SPC).
• Experience with VA/VHA/DoD or FEHR familiarity a plus.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills for executive deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate evaluation and data-driven decision-making activities, including defining measures of success, tracking performance, and supporting implementation of those frameworks.
• Serve as a project manager for assigned workstreams, ensuring alignment across teams, tracking dependencies, and driving execution to completion.
• Plan and execute work within a scaled Agile (SAFe) cadence: author features and user stories, maintain backlog health, support PI Planning and sprint reviews, and manage carryover and cross-team dependencies.
• Build, validate, and maintain performance metrics and operational dashboards; translate ticket, workflow, and facility-level data into findings leadership can act on.
• Contribute across multiple functional areas (e.g., evaluation, engagement, training, and operations) to support overall program delivery and priorities.
• Develop clear, visually compelling presentations and supporting materials that adhere to client branding and style guidelines.
• Collaborate with project leads, trainers, and facilitators to clarify messaging objectives and iterate content based on stakeholder feedback.
• Facilitate working sessions, office hours, and cross-team forums with clinical, informatics, and technical partners, briefing senior stakeholders.
• Produce executive-ready deliverables such as MOAs, COAs, concepts of operations, project plans, SOPs, and leadership presentations.
• Manage tight deadlines and prioritize tasks independently.
