Job summary

Layer Health seeks an experienced Integration Engineer to pair our AI-powered platform with major EHR systems such as EPIC and Cerner. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable integrations using FHIR, HL7, and other standards, ensuring robust data flow across healthcare environments.

You have 3+ years in healthcare data or integration engineering, strong Python and SQL skills, and a proven ability to troubleshoot, document, and communicate across teams and with clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience working with healthcare data in an analytics or engineering role.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, including FHIR, HL7v2, and SMART on FHIR.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust integrations between Layer Health and various EHR systems (EPIC, Cerner, PACS, Cardiovascular systems, LIS, etc.).
• Troubleshoot integration issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted data flow and system interoperability.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of EHR integrations.
• Create documentation to support integration processes and workflows.
• Communicate project status, issues, feedback, ideas, to various teams.
• Be proactive in communication with team members and clients.
