Job summary

Layer Health is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable integrations between Layer Health and EHR systems such as EPIC and Cerner, ensuring smooth data flow across clinical workflows.

The role requires 3+ years of healthcare data experience, strong Python and SQL skills, and knowledge of FHIR/HL7/SMART on FHIR. Experience with cloud/SaaS and excellent client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with healthcare data in analytics or engineering.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with FHIR, HL7v2, and SMART on FHIR.
• Experience with EHR integrations (EPIC, Cerner) and healthcare interoperability.
• Knowledge of cloud and SaaS technologies.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable integrations between Layer Health and various EHR systems (EPIC, Cerner, PACS, Cardiovascular systems, LIS, etc.).
• Troubleshoot integration issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted data flow and system interoperability.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of EHR integrations.
• Create documentation to support integration processes and workflows.
• Communicate project status, issues, feedback, ideas, to various teams.
• Be proactive in communication with team members and clients.
