Job summary

Saint Michael's Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, in Newark, NJ, seeks an IT professional to manage MEDITECH/enterprise system applications, provide ongoing user support and training, and drive system enhancements.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors and IT staff for hardware installations and changes, and serving as a liaison for Clinical System issues across departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required for all new hires starting 4/1/14
• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Healthcare field, Business Discipline, Healthcare Management, Health Information management or Information Science or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2 years work experience in a hospital setting required
• Clinical experience preferred
• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with and establish working relationships with physicians, hospital personnel and co-workers.

• Manages MEDITECH/enterprise system applications in the areas of ongoing user support/training, dictionary, maintenance, system enhancements, problem analysis, resolution and troubleshooting.
• Works with vendors and other IT staff to coordinate hardware installation, maintain and oversee changes, corrections, enhancement to the Clinical Systems.
• Acts as a liaison for Departments for Clinical System issues.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $22.00 to $37.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
