Job summary

Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, NJ, part-time Nurse Assistant role in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department. You will assist with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and help maintain a safe environment under the supervision of the RN.

Applicants should hold a CNA certificate (preferred) and BLS within 30 days of hire; six months acute care experience is desirable. Employment status is part-time with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
