Job summary

Saint Michael's Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our nutrition team in Newark, NJ. CMS requirements apply, and you will provide patient-centered nutritional care across inpatient services.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, coordinate implementation, educate patients and families, approve supplements, and contribute to formulary development. One year healthcare experience is desirable.

Provides appropriate patient nutritional care. Assesses the nutritional status of patients, formulates a care plan, coordinates its implementation, and evaluates its impact and effectiveness. Provides nutrition education to patients/families. Approves supplements as appropriate and assists in the development of a hospital formulary appropriate to the patient population.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • Registered Dietitian Required (CMS requirement)
  • One year healthcare experience desirable.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $32.34 to $37.24. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
