Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Structural Assembler to build large, complex systems using hand and power tools. You will read manuals, drawings, and schematics to ensure components fit precisely, and you will work standing for the full shift.

The role requires accuracy, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs (team lift for heavier items), a high school diploma, and pre-employment checks. Work hours are 5:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday.

Qualifications

  • Previous mechanical assembly experience or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, schematics, etc.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently as an individual (team lift for heavier items).
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

  • Review manuals, drawings, schematics, blueprints and other assembly instructions.
  • Gather necessary materials and equipment.
  • Measure space and components to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Select or modify components according to instructions, measurements, and specifications.
  • Align materials based on specifications to assemble complex units.
  • Assemble parts using hand tools and power tools.
  • Measure and inspect completed assemblies for quality.
  • Identify, report, and document any issues in the assembly process.
  • Maintain accurate records of production quantities and time for completion.

Job Summary

As a Structural Assembler, you will work with hand tools and power tools to assemble a variety of components and create large, complex systems and structures. The role requires the ability to read and follow detailed instructions with precision. You will routinely review manuals, drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure all components fit correctly. The Structural Assembler works standing, walking, and moving for the entire shift and regularly lifts up to 50 lbs. individually; any lifting above 50 lbs. requires a team lift.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review manuals, drawings, schematics, blueprints and other assembly instructions
  • Gather necessary materials and equipment
  • Measure space and components to ensure a perfect fit
