Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical and mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products per drawings and instructions.
  • Install wiring, connectors, switches, and other electrical components.
  • Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation.
  • Inspect assemblies for quality and compliance with specs.
  • Identify and report defects, equipment malfunctions, or process issues.
  • Maintain production records and documentation.
  • Follow safety procedures and 5S principles.
  • Assist with inventory management and material handling as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

Electrical Assembly Assessment Test is required at time of interview.

The Electro/Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting electrical and mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This position requires the ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and electrical testing equipment while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assemble electrical and mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to blueprints, schematics, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Install wiring, connectors, switches, and other electrical components.
  • Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting of assemblies to ensure proper operation.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training in electronics, electrical systems, mechanical assembly, or related field required.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience required.
  • Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams is a requirement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for assembly tasks.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels.
