Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an EHCP Coordinator in Worcester to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities by coordinating Education, Health and Care Plans. You will work with families and multi‑agency professionals to ensure plans reflect best interests and statutory requirements.

This role offers flexible hours (full or part time within a locum contract), a collaborative SEND team, and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• DBS check is an essential requirement for working with children and young people.
• Flexibility to work outside core office hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the EHCP process by producing high-quality plans, consulting with multidisciplinary professionals, educational settings, and families to ensure the plans reflect the best interest of the child or young person.
• Manage a caseload of EHCPs, providing families with a dedicated point of contact within the local authority and approving funding allocations.
• Represent the SEND service at meetings and panels, ensuring the educational provision continues to meet the evolving needs of the child or young person.
• Collaborate with Education and Skills, Children’s and Adult’s social care services, Health, and other agencies to support the writing and amendment of EHCPs.
• Prepare and present necessary documentation at multi-agency placement panels, and stay informed about changes in legislation, policies, and procedures.
