Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to lead EH&S compliance across two Illinois facilities and one Wisconsin facility. You will oversee environmental permits (FESOP, LQG), manage hazardous waste, and ensure OSHA compliance across all sites while promoting a strong safety culture.

The role requires cooperation with plant teams, training initiatives, and regular travel between facilities to sustain program excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational safety, chemical engineering, or related discipline.
• 5-10 years of EH&S experience in manufacturing (adhesives, coatings, or chemical).
• Direct experience with FESOP permitting and LQG hazardous waste management.
• Working knowledge of federal, Wisconsin and Illinois environmental and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with EPA/IDEM reporting systems (TRI-MEweb, CDX, Tier2 Submit).
• Strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly between three facilities.
• Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER 40-Hour, CSP, or CHMM.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S compliance across two Illinois facilities and one Wisconsin facility.
• Oversee environmental compliance for FESOP + LQG at adhesive coating facility.
• Manage OSHA & health/safety compliance across three sites.
• Coordinate training, engagement and recordkeeping for EH&S.
• Maintain records and prepare emissions reports for Illinois EPA.
