Job summary

Corvant is seeking an EH&S Specialist I to support safety inspections and training for our field teams on Southeast projects. This entry‑to‑mid level role starts your career in construction safety under the Sr. EH&S Manager, with required travel.

You will assist with investigations, deliver toolbox talks, maintain OSHA logs, and help with safety communications and trainings. A Bachelor’s in Safety and 0–2 years of field experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of construction safety or field experience.
• Developing knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 construction safety requirements.
• OSHA 30‑hour certification required or must obtain within 30 days.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Effective communication with field crews and management.
• Reliable, safety‑first mindset and professional conduct.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job site safety inspections and document observations under senior staff guidance
• Assist with incident and near‑miss investigations and corrective action documentation
• Deliver basic safety training programs and toolbox talks to field crews as directed
• Distribute and track PPE and safety supplies across assigned job sites
• Maintain OSHA 300 log entries and safety documentation with accuracy
• Track open corrective actions and follow up on closure status
• Assist with development and distribution of safety communications and alerts
• Participate in GC safety meetings and pre‑task planning as directed
• Learn and develop proficiency in OSHA regulations and company safety standards
• Support the EH&S Supervisor with special safety projects and program activities
