Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking an EH&S Engineer to join a manufacturing plant in Orange County. The role focuses on ensuring environmental and safety regulatory compliance while contributing to process improvements in a cgmp-regulated environment.

Reporting to the EH&S Director, you will lead lockout/tagout updates, deliver training, perform inspections, participate in safety meetings, write SOPs, and support permit‑required environmental activities such as wastewater and air quality.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering (Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, etc).
• 3+ years of previous manufacturing experience, ideally in chemicals or materials manufacturing.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is ideal (24-hour certification is acceptable).
• Open to hiring someone who has been an EH&S Engineer before, or a process engineer who is curious to expand their skillset.
• Train the Trainer certified in LOTO/Confined Space/Fall protection, or other technical area.

Responsibilities

• Work with team members to ensure lockout/tagout procedures are available and up to date.
• Perform monthly in-person EH&S related training.
• Perform periodic EH&S inspections.
• Take part in weekend safety meetings and safety committee teams.
• Write EH&S related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• This role is a member of the 24-hour HAZWOPER team.
• This person will manage administrative duties with internal EH&S software systems.
• This person will assist in permit required environmental activities (wastewater, storm water, air quality, etc)
