Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking an EH&S Engineer based at a manufacturing plant in Orange County, CA. The role focuses on regulatory and technical duties to ensure environmental and safety compliance while contributing as a process engineer.

You will work on lockout/tagout, training, SOPs, inspections, and participate in safety meetings as part of a 24-hour HAZWOPER team; the plant operates under cgmp with safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering (Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety) or similar.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally in chemicals or materials manufacturing.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred (24-hour acceptable).
• Open to EH&S Engineer or a process engineer expanding their skillset.
• Train the Trainer certification in LOTO/Confined Space/Fall protection or similar.

Responsabilités

• Ensure lockout/tagout procedures are current.
• Conduct monthly EH&S training sessions.
• Perform periodic EH&S inspections.
• Participate in weekend safety meetings and safety committees.
• Prepare EH&S SOPs and related documentation.
• Support the 24-hour HAZWOPER team.
• Manage administrative duties in EH&S software systems.
• Assist in permit-required environmental activities (wastewater, storm water, air quality, etc).
