Job summary

Ostara is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager to lead enterprise-wide safety, environmental, and regulatory programs. You will drive risk assessments, establish corporate EH&S standards, and ensure compliance across multiple sites.

The role requires collaboration with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership to integrate EH&S into all aspects of the business. Responsibilities include developing annual EH&S goals, reporting performance metrics, and supervising

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational safety, engineering, chemistry, industrial hygiene, or related field.
• CSP, CIH, CHMM, ASP or equivalent certification preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive EH&S experience in chemical processing, fertilizer manufacturing, heavy industry, or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company-wide EH&S management system across operations and locations.
• Develop and maintain EH&S policies, procedures, standards, and KPIs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local requirements; coordinate inspections and corrective actions.
• Oversee safety, environmental, and process safety programs; drive risk reduction initiatives.
• Provide training, reporting, and governance for EH&S performance and compliance.
• Manage budgets, audits, and relationships with regulators and external service providers.
