Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety professional to guide shop floor safety, train staff, and ensure regulatory compliance across departments. The role emphasizes implementing audit-based safety plans, incident investigations, and day-to-day EH&S guidance to reduce risk and promote a safe work environment.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in a safety-related field, 3+ years in EHS in manufacturing, and strong OSHA/EPA knowledge, with Spanish bilingual abilities preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science or a certificate in Health and Safety or an equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of three years in Environment, Health and Safety in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Strong knowledge of state environmental laws.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and influential skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a safe and healthy workplace across the organization.
• Implement safety plans based on audits to meet regulatory requirements.
• Train employees on EH&S practices and procedures.
• Identify hazards and develop safe work procedures.
• Deliver EH&S training and provide expert guidance on safety topics.
• Maintain OSHA 300-300A logs and manage incident investigations.
