Job summary

Worthington Steel is seeking an EH&S Manager to lead the environmental, health, and safety programs at our Rome facility in New York. You will partner with plant leadership and regulatory agencies to ensure OSHA, EPA, and NYS DEC compliance while advancing continuous improvement in safety performance.

Responsibilities include managing EH&S systems, auditing, incident investigations, and delivering training. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration with corporate EH&S are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of EH&S experience in manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NYS DEC regulations and environmental permits.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S programs to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
• Manage EH&S systems and regulatory reporting; coordinate audits and inspections.
• Develop and deliver EH&S training for employees at the Rome facility.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Interface with regulators and plant leadership to maintain compliance.
• Support risk assessments and cost-effective safety improvements.
