Job summary

Rune is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Lead to own safety across operations from the Mountain View assembly floor to global deployments. You will be the first dedicated safety hire and will build the program as the company scales.

Responsibilities include developing an EH&S program, hazard analyses, site-specific safety plans, and electrical safety across RELIC configurations, while managing contractor safety and training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in EH&S, field safety, or manufacturing safety.
• Experience building safety programs from scratch.
• Knowledge of OSHA Cal/OSHA standards and IIPP requirements.
• Ability to lead investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Comfort translating regs into practical guidance for fast-changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Build Rune's EH&S program from the ground up for assembly and field deployments.
• Develop Job Hazard Analyses and pre-task planning with coaching on hazard recognition.
• Create site-specific safety plans for RELIC deployments and operations.
• Manage electrical safety including LOTO, NFPA 70E, and energized work.
• Oversee contractor safety, training, and incident investigations.
