Job summary

Intellectt INC is seeking an EH&S Engineer in Milpitas, CA to lead safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance across manufacturing processes.

You will inspect facilities, define safety device requirements, conduct training, and investigate incidents to minimize recurrence. A strong background in OSHA regulations and industrial environments is required, with a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Health Sciences, or related field
• 4+ years EH&S experience
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, codes, and safety guidelines
• Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Consults with all departments on the design and use of equipment, fire prevention, and safety programs.
• Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
• Tours the plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Defines requirements for safety clothing and devices, and designs, builds, installs, or directs the installation of safety devices on machinery.
• Conducts or coordinates safety training to educate workers about emergency response, safety policies, laws and practices.
• Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident reports.
• Conducts air quality testing for the presence of harmful gases and vapors.
• Identifies health and safety hazards and recommends corrective actions.
