Job summary

Patriot Disposal is seeking a Director of Environmental, Health & Safety to lead loss prevention, regulatory compliance, and a culture of safety across its divisions. This role focuses on training, coaching, and supporting district managers to ensure proactive safety practices and robust incident response.

Extensive travel is required to support multiple operating divisions. The candidate will drive OSHA and DOT compliance, lead investigations, and partner with HR and operations on

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with all organizational levels to drive safety culture.
• Ability to design and deliver training programs for proactive safety.
• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations and HOS compliance.
• Experience leading investigations of injuries and incidents.
• Willingness to travel 75%+ and obtain Smith System certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as safety SME to divisional leadership on programs and compliance.
• Design and deliver proactive safety training and culture initiatives.
• Monitor safety initiatives and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure OSHA/DOT regulation compliance across divisions.
• Lead investigations of injuries, incidents, and near-misses.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and incident command support.
