Job summary

Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a full-time Evening Shift observer to provide constant visual monitoring of at-risk patients under RN supervision. Shift is Monday–Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

with every other weekend; signing bonus of $2,500. Responsibilities include watching suicidal patients via video monitoring or direct observation, alerting the nurse if concerns arise, reviewing the care plan with the nurse at shift start and end, and reporting intake as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or GED or equivalent.
• BCLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant observation to patients who are suicidal by means of video monitoring or direct visualization.
• Alert nurse if there is a change in the patient's behavior or response that the observer is concerned about.
• Review observation care plan for the patient with the nurse at the beginning and end of shift.
• May report food and/or liquid intake.
