Job summary

Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a registered nurse for the Progressive Care Unit night shift (7p-7a, every third weekend). The 9-bed PCU emphasizes patient‑centered care and collaborative rounds in a Magnet‑recognized environment.

You will document at the bedside, participate in rounds with the care team, and enjoy 12‑hour shifts with flexible scheduling to support work‑life balance. NH RN license required.

Qualifications

• Must hold NH RN license or compact state license.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a 9-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a 1:3 nurse‑to‑patient ratio.
• Participate in collaborative rounds and partner with physicians and educators to support patient care.
• Document at the bedside using the new computerized system.
• Adopt 12‑hour shifts with flexible scheduling to promote work‑life balance.

Our nurse‑to‑patient ratio in the Progressive Care Unit is 1:3, which allows the nurse to truly make an impact with the patient and family. Collaborative rounds is one way to support a strong physician/nurse collaboration as the nurse is involved in the decisions that affect the patient and their input is valued. The new computerized documentation system allows nurses to document at the bedside. The nursing leadership team partners with our education staff to provide opportunities for career enhancement and professional development.
